Avengelyne

So I did this picture using Owen Gieni's loose pencils he so generously provided on the Rob Liefeld message board (Right here) The Avengelyne comic relaunched last year and kicked off the Extreme studios thing that's going on with Prophet, Glory, Bloodstrike and of course Youngblood. It's a beautiful comic, Gieni has got some crazy details in his pictures. I inked over a print out of his art, then painted watercolors over that, and touched it up with more ink and a black micron pen.

That's not a pirates secret stash of Avengelyne comics, that's the straight up thing, legal, legit and an incredibly awesome move by the creators.

Black Orchid Watercolored

Put this one aside for awhile, just couldn't finish it. Finally did today, i'm pretty happy how she turned out, and where is Black Orchid in the New DC52? Will she eventually show up in My Greatest Adventure or something? ink, watercolors and a white out pen made this thing on 9x12 watercolor paper.

Yo Gabba Gabba's Toodee!

Hopefully all of you reading this watch Yo Gabba Gabba! So y'all will know this is Toodee! She is my daughter Pipers favorite on the show, and her funny hat is based on a REAL hat here in my house! (whoa) I have drawn plenty of requests from Piper to draw the different characters, as well as other cartoon and comics and animals she likes (Bat-Mite is another of her favorites) so when I saw a request for art from the Yo Gabba Gabba crew on twitter I knew I had to do something for them too. So here it is, in ink, and watercolors and a little silver sharpie marker too! Hope y'all like it!

The Rocketeer

Made this with ink and watercolor pencils. Been thinking about using them and see what I could do with them, I think this came out alright.

The Rocketeer came out at the same time Terminator 2 did when I was a kid, I wasn't allowed to see T2 cause it was too violent or whatever, so I watched this instead.
