Whoever wins gets to run around naked in the studios for a whole day, so I'm really hoping I can pick up some votes for this one!

explains Zombi bin Laden

well Just thought I should throw out some clarification. I'm starting a daily comic strip today, called "Zombi bin Laden" and I am throwing it out under the banner of satire. I plan to use daily news items as the jumping off point for my social commentary. Crowsheet Studios is the name of my comics studio (aka. my basement) so I thought what better way to start things off than with a daily grind news comic strip thing. You guys and girls into that sorta thing? I hope so. If not I guess someone will be along to smash my hands!

OMAC vs Big Mac

Inspired (?) from a message by Nate Cosby on the twitter I used some markers and made the crowning piece of my portfolio, OMAC vs Officer Big Mac! Though i guess OMAC is really running away with a happy meal rather than fighting, oh well, whould you want to engage Officer Big Mac in fisticuffs? No, I think not.

the horrible goatsnake

So this is Lovecraftian creature someone suggested, the horrible goatsnake in ink and wash.

#10oClockArt time

my warm up for today is a sketch of vic boone from the popular comic of the same name, go check it out here http://vicboone.blogspot.com/ obviously these are just pencils to be filled in with gobs and gobs of ink. i'm not sure if there is a squid octopus thing that impersonates the sun in the comic, but i thought it'd be fun to throw in.

late night sketch

Watched a documentary about Indians called More Than Bows And Arrows and started doodling came out with this piece. Really like use this ebony pencil, I sharpen in with an arrowhead one of my uncles found in his field. Kept thinking about begining of scalped 50 with the history of scalping in it, so I guess that was stuck in my brain.

Turtles & Coffinmouth

If you haven't seen it already, go check out Coffinmouth I did the cover and the Important Sheet comic in it. Paul Jessup is awesome.

So i doodled this today while chatting with the Chippy & Loopus guy while he drawed his comic on livestream, i spent too much time saturday night on youtube arguing with trolls about the wall street protests, and still felt angry today. i guess angry is the right thing to be in a time like this, who can be happy watching news and then seeing what it really happening?
The strip here is just Jet Black Extra Smooth Ebony pencil i have, except for the inked box at the top left. I dunno what i'm doing with it, something more? I can't say, I got a lot to do in the next couple weeks, and i really need to start a weekly comic, something to fall back on, something to hold onto rather than just jumping from thing to thing.

basic inks

First pass at inks on this, once both pages are all the way done they will be up. And my scanner keeps putting these weird shadowy fingers through things, not quite sure what that means, not liking my scanner tho.

roughly pencils

So I gotta work on sequential storytelling, these are my sheety pencils, hard to see, and no blacks. Gotta clean the garage floor cause the dog peed out there, then sling some ink on these. Maybe even name the thing and color it.

The Cursed Black Walnut

The chikump came over while i sat outside smoking, ran away, came back, repeated this several times then came over with a black walnut, and tenderly came near me, dropped the walnut and ran away, climbing up on the railing, then back down over to pick up the walnut, i looked down at him, he looked at me, he dropped the walnut again, but this time left it spinning. Some days later I found his head while cleaning the backyard, i assumed a victim of yellow cat. the walnut sits in a drawer and gives me bad dreams.

10 O'clock Art

Well this is what i'm doing right at 10 am here, a self-portrait, got a bunch of things i'm trying to do, gotta put together a portfolio to take up to New York Comic Con, a few contests I want to submit too, redo my blog setup a bit, too many things, trying to take them one at a time, but my mind doesn't work so good like that, i tend to scatter brain around all sort of things, always have i guess.
